Our rental house has great views to the west, from our location on the hill we can look out over the city and out across the Canterbury Plains to the mountains in the distance. One morning in early February I looked out of the windows in the sitting room to see quite a spectacular view through the gum (Eucalyptus) tree opposite our house.
The old saying held true and by lunchtime the weather had changed and we had a cold and wet afternoon, but it made for a very pretty start to the day.
